WHAT A FOREIGN CITIZEN NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT VISAS FOR THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

A foreign citizen must have a valid visa to enter the Russian Federation unless the opposite is mentioned in bilateral or international agreements or treaties. One can consult if your state has signed such an agreement at his/her country’s Embassy in Moscow or at his/her Ministry of foreign affairs.

Depending on the purpose of his/her visit to the Russian Federation, one can apply for different visas, such as “transit”, “tourist”, “business”, “work”, “student”, “humanitarian” and “private”. He/she must apply in person at the Consular section of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Mongolia, Monday through Friday from 14.00 to 15.00, except official holidays.
